September 2012, the first generation civil use solar concentrating machine prototype was success, which developed by Shanghai Parasol Renewable Energy Company and SJTU, and operated in the Minhang campus. Our system is innovative technology, its energy density is 5 to 10 times higher than conventional solar heat absorber. It can heat water up to 300 degrees, thus it is suitable for widely use in industrial applications.
