      innovative efficient industrial and building energy saving

      The drawbacks of traditional energy: not only it is inefficient and pollutional, but also the resources are depleting, production costs are rising. As a result, the cost for users is increasingly rising. However, energy from the sun is inexhaustible and non-pollutional.

           

      The bottlenecks of traditional solar equipment: the traditional solar water heater, as the representative of the first generation of solar thermal applications, only got hot water 80 degrees below. Its efficiency is not high enough for general use.

      Our original CSP collector is a great breakthrough. It ensures the stable and efficient energy supply under 300°C, which can be used to strong energy demand industries, such as refrigeration , heating, industrial steam, agriculture thermal insulation.

      The advantages of our heliostats’ field scheme:

      ü  Independent: its energy density is 10% higher than conventional solar heat absorber. It can heat water up to 300 degrees, thus it is suitable for widely use in industrial applications.

       

      ü  Economical: by using long-life equipment, the cost is 30% lower than coal and 80% lower than electricity. It get rid of the inefficient power generation process, thus the thermal energy can be transferred directly. The average annual investment return is as high as 15% to 30%, according to the variation of solar

      ü  Original: the unique moving architecture is suitable for different height roofs; networking is flexible, which means fast installation and freely expansion of heating capacity.

      ü  Easy to maintain: the steel, aluminum construction and outdoor silver mirror, consumables, low cost, easy to replace.

      ü  Flexible modes: investment with regular return or energy performance contracting can be an alternative business model.

      ü  Policy privilege: corresponding to China renewable energy strategy, we get a great number of subsidies.

      Market outlook

      Under the circumstance that CSP has become priority project globally, Chinese government has begun to vigorously promote the CSP high temperature applications, particularly large-scale applications, and given high subsidies to ones used building solar energy heating and refrigeration, industrial solar energy boilers and others.

      The number of industrial coal-fired boilers in use in China is about 470 thousand, the annual consumption of standard coal is about 400 million tons, which accounts for about a quarter of the total coal consumption; carbon dioxide emissions accounts for about 10% of the country's total emissions. However, by using CSP, 40 million tons of coal will be saved annually, 80 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions will be reduced, which equals a market value more than one trillion.

      The energy consumption of air-conditioning accounts for nearly 60% of the building energy consumption. In summer, it accounts for more than 30% of city electricity peak load. The area of total building construction in China is currently over 20 billion square meters. Assume the average number of floors is 5 to 10, and 1% of building roofs used our solar energy air-conditioning application, the electricity saved is equivalent to 40 million tons of coal every year, or 40 billion yuan of energy consumption.

          Case I: Building energy saving

       

       

      The air-conditioning energy consumption accounts for nearly 60% of the total building energy consumption. In summer, it even accounts for more than 30% of peak electricity.

      A consumer in Shanghai would like to save building energy for a 500 m2 office area, by applying CSP to air-conditioners. Thus, we designed a heliostats’ array consisted of 24 mirrors, whose output power is 150 KW, with an equivalent solar heat pump air-conditioner. The system cost is 1 million yuan. However, the consumer will save 200 to 300 thousand yuan every year, in addition, almost won’t be influenced by power grid constraints.

          

      Case II: Industrial energy saving

      Our system makes fully use of solar source on the large-scale roofs or ground of industrial enterprises. In the meantime, it provides stable and high quality hot water and steam for industries such as textile and dyeing industry, chemical and medicine industry, and food industry.

      An entrepreneur in Yunnan would like to save industrial energy by using CSP instead of coal to produce 200°C steam. We designed a heliostats’ array consisted of 480 mirrors on 10,000 m2 roofs. Its output power is 6 MW, which equals to 10 thousand tons of steam every year. Thus, the consumer will save 1 to 1.5 million yuan every year, and get the award of energy conservation and emission reduction.
